GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE COURSE FOR CEO'S, SENIOR MANAGERS, BUSINESS OWNERS, DIRECTORS

A fundamental principle of sound Occupational Health, Safety and Welfare (OHS) management is the practice of workplace consultation and participation - employers and employees working together to achieve safe and healthy workplaces.  Accordingly, it is crucial that the education of key people who influence OHS performance in the workplace is enhanced through access to approved courses of training.

Changes to the Act
Changes to Section 61 of the Occupational Health, Safety and Welfare Act 1986 [the Act] provides that every body corporate carrying on business in the State must appoint one or more responsible officer.  Responsible Officer training is now compulsory under these changes.

Who are Responsible Officers
A Responsible Officer is the CEO, Senor Manager, Business Owner, Director who is the person responsible for health and safety within your organisation.

The Responsible Officer is accountable for the health and safety of employees in the workplace.

Target Group

CEO's, Senior Managers, Business owners, Directors or designated senior officer of the business.

There are no prerequisites for these courses.
Course Outline
Responsible Officers (1/2 Day) 9.15 am - 1.15 pm
This course introduces participants to their role as Responsible Officers under the Occupational Health, Safety and Welfare Act 1986.

Course fee per Half Day
Standard Fee $195 (includes GST)
